Positrak is pleased to announce the arrival of Positrak Tire - a new semi-point of sale product specifically built for tire dealers.  Positrak Tire is a breakthrough application for Positrak, and is the pilot program for Positrak Pro, a complete new point of sale application for automotive jobbers, which is scheduled to be ready by mid-year 2011.

Positrak Tire is a one-of-a-kind application.  It supports both multiple retail locations and multiple warehouse locations.  It has a limited accounts receivables feature that allows you to track sales for a customer.  It runs purchase orders based on min and max stock levels, and provides a variety of other reports.  Positrak manages your database for you - you don’t have to run backups or any kind of closeout.  Data is never closed - from the day you install Positrak Tire, you will have record of all sales.  For example, three years down the road, you could look back and see how much business you've gotten from one particular customer.

Positrak Tire was developed with the assistance of Pugh's Tire & Parts in Greenville, NC.  Pugh's has four retail locations across the city of Greenville.  One of those locations is also the main warehouse, a 40,000 square foot facility.  Each of the four locations can view inventory and pricing when searching a tire, then send a ticket to the main warehouse.  The ticket prints at the main warehouse, and the drivers know to pull the tires & deliver - all this with no phone call involved.

While Positrak Tire was built with a large, multi-store setup in mind, it can still certainly be used in a smaller environment.  It is a simple, affordable product that gets the job done.
