Common issues with POW and their resolutions: 8/18/2004 counter workstations hanging up: Workstation 1 is in windows. Send 3.7 rom pluscard with transistor counter workstations resetting: workstation not on same circuit breaker as server. 3.7 w/ transistor detects transients and reset. If impossible to resolve power issue - provide opto-isolator. missing ar2r/dat: you don't have positrak.exe in the working directory. floating point error: one of the accts in ar2r/dat has invalid info - delete and re-add. which account? next one after last displayed using F1 account lookup. missing or invalid local key: delete the wrenchctrlkey file in the windows folder. *** do not change the system time after the WH registration. *** do not copy the positrak.ini from one pc to another. application hangs up: two or more occurances running - check the taskbar. invalid serial port setting. other serial port conflict. not displaying correct pricing: F3 default is customer zero - which is your customer expecting? Hotlink price should remain unchanged in far left (top) position Subgroups not displaying correct line code: Put a priority 1 on each subgroup if you rename the line code. Invoice doesn't line up correct: check line 41000 in altpos - check for oki or c310 Cash tickets dont' print: Check line 40020 in altpos - is it set for receipt printer? Ticket prints multiple copies: use F10 enter for finalize - don't double click on finalize button. Shows N/A - but I have a valid part entered: Is your line code correct Look in the terminal window behind - did hotlink2 00.00.25 start? General serial port issues: POW demands a lot of the serial port. Ports previously damaged by lightning, bad connections, bad pluscard or isolators will not work. Look for the "badk ck" error msg in the terminal window. Also - POW is currently qualified only on 3.7 roms at 19,200 baud. Registration Issues: No local key - improper typed key OR delete c:\windows\wrenchctrlkey "Cannot start Cataloging": -Monthly WH data cd not installed Dunzip error: Wrong drive letter for CDrom Dirty or damaged CD - test by opening the drive in my computer... ... then manually copy a couple files with the mouse Code Base Error: Misc errors that will go away when registered and data cd installed.
